January 16, 2016

The first Latin America diamond trading platform is going live today. - The Diamond Market in Latin America is currently the largest online diamond center in Latin America.

The trading platform’s database includes over 1,200 jewelry stores that sell loose diamonds or diamond jewelry in Latin America, including Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and soon the Caribbean islands.

“Due to the large growth taking place in the Jewelry industry in Latin America, with the constant opening of new jewelry stores in these countries and the great interest from foreign companies and wholesalers to join this emerging market (as we can see with the recent opening of the Panama Diamond Exchange), we have opened over an extended time the largest online diamond center in Latin America with the intention to make it easier for these companies to join this market,” explains : Meir Kamhaji, Chief Executive Officer of

Kamhaji explains that there is a very high cost for diamond and jewelry companies to send sellers for long periods of time (or rent an office) to try find new customers, not knowing the language, location and way of thinking of them.

“Our goal is to create a particular network only with the diamonds located in Latin America or those who have the possibility of being sent here, in order to provide to all jewelers and individuals on this side of the world fast access to this inventory when needed, and at the same time spare all the expenses to these foreign companies if they will try to do it by themselves,” concludes Kamhaji.
