The Kingdom of Belgium wants to continue to cooperate with Angola in the mining sector, specifically in diamonds, said on Monday the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, External Trade and Development Cooperation of that European country, Didier Reynders.
Speaking to journalists at the end of the meeting held with the minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Monteiro Queiroz, the visiting official said they would like to try in the public market that exist the possibility of seeing a way to increase the price of Angolan diamond in Antwerp market.
During the audience, the Minister of Geology and Mines made a point to ask, through cooperation, that the Kingdom of Belgium to train staff for the mining sector and also Belgian financiers in Angola.
In his turn, Didier Reynders said he would send to Angola a commission of experts with the mission to see how they can contribute to this.
The minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Monteiro Queiroz said that Belgium has mining tradition not only in Europe but also in other countries and would like to have the investment of Belgium in this context and also diversifying exploration in other minerals.
Regarding diversification, he said all kinds of investment for the country and good and who are working towards providing institutional support and create the most favorable conditions for better business environment arises normally.
Angola and Belgium cooperate in various fields, with stress to the sectors of mining and diamonds.
