Russian diamond mining giant ALROSA has recovered a 105.6-carat diamond from the Jubilee kimberlite pipe.

The diamond of “4 Black Sawables 2 color” quality is octahedral and transparent, with a moderate yellowish hue, the miner said in a statement, adding that there are small olivine, graphite and sulphide inclusions in it.

The Jubilee pipe is known for discoveries of large diamonds, with stones weighing from 50 to 120 carats being recovered from the deposit this year.
